Office Manager/Insurance Coordinator
Rachel is an experienced manager with over 10 years of experience in the Business of Dentistry. She attended high school in Raleigh, NC but relocated to the Greensboro area in 2004 to pursue a college education. Since then, she has received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Information Technology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also holds an Associates Degree in Business as well as a Microsoft Office Certification in Excel. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Business with a concentration in Management and Human Resources.
Rachel prides herself on helping others grow professionally and has the vision and ability to nurture patient and employee relationships. At Neighborhood Dental, she conducts the handling of insurance claims, pre-authorization of treatment, treatment coordinating/scheduling, and insurance networking. She is also our HIPAA compliance officer.
Aside from spending time with her son, she enjoys traveling, listening to music, and movie nights with loved ones. She also has two dogs who are spoiled rotten!
On any given day you can find her with a smile on her face along with a positive attitude and a willingness to attend others in need. She is a natural leader and demonstrates patience and understanding for those around her.

Front Desk Reception
Tiara has been working in office administration for over two years. She has been married for four years and is a devoted wife and mother of a three-year-old little girl. She is originally from Brooklyn, NY and moved to North Carolina about ten years ago. While pursuing a nursing degree at a local college, she enjoys other activities such as spending time with family and friends, doing homework, and shopping. She prides herself on being diligent in executing tasks for patients in an efficient and timely manner. She is always willing to learn new things to expand her knowledge of the dental field.
Alyssia R.
Dental Assistant II
Alyssia has been a dental assistant for six years and has enjoyed every minute of it. She believes in improving the dental experience by making sure her patients are fully aware of and understand every aspect of their treatment. Patient education is important to her and she is always looking for opportunities for improvement. In her spare time, Alyssia and her husband of four years, Jordan, enjoy hiking, singing, and playing video games. Originally from Ohio, she enjoys the warmer weather here in North Carolina and is proud to call it her home.
Ruqia A.
Dental Assistant II
Ruqia has been involved in dentistry since 2005 when she graduated from Guilford Technical Community College for Dental Assisting. Migrating to the United States from war-torn Afghanistan in late 2000, she supported her family while attending school. When she is not busy working at Neighborhood, she stays even busier at home taking care of her husband and lovely daughter, Hadiya. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family. Ruqia is a hard worker who not only helps to take care of patients, but also our OSHA and Radiology certifications.
Amber S.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Amber is one of our full-time dental hygienists and is approaching her second year anniversary here at Neighborhood Dental.
Amber attended Guilford Technical Community College where she earned her degree in Dental Hygiene in 2015.
She strives to give her patients a comfortable and positive experience, all while educating them on good home care, as it is imperative to maintain overall health.
Amber stays busy with her two rescue dogs and enjoys kickboxing in her free time.

Thao L.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Thao is another one of our full-time hygienists and has been part of the Neighborhood Dental family since 2016. Originally from Vietnam, she and her family have lived in Greensboro since 1993.
She is a single mother of two beautiful daughters who are currently in school at ECU and UNCG. While working as a manicurist, Thao attended Guilford Technical Community College. She graduated in 2009 as dental assistant and again in 2011 as a Dental Hygienist.
A hard worker by nature, Thao has worked two jobs to support herself and her daughters for as long as she can remember. She loves both jobs wholeheartedly. Thao loves to make her clients as well as her patients feel good about themselves. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and reading. Thao's dream home is one by a lake where she can gaze out of her window and paint. Her motto is "when you stop dreaming, you stop living."
