Dr. Antwan D. Bates
Dr. Bates could be considered a world traveler. Growing up with a father in the military, he has resided all over the world to include places such as Alaska and Germany, but is proud to call Clarksville, Tennessee home.
Dr. Bates completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a double major in Biochemistry and Psychology. Initially interested in pharmacy studies, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry instead. Dr. Bates graduated in 2011 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. He then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Bates settled in Greensboro, NC in 2012 and serves as an officer in the North Carolina Army National Guard.
Dr. Bates attends continuing education classes to keep his dental knowledge current, and is especially good with pediatric patients and oral surgery. Dr. Bates is a member of several dental societies as well as Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
When he is not busy with patients, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing video games
